With the MSI Executive Coach and Mentor program, you’ll focus on how to coach your employees to higher levels of performance at work. Coaching is a process of building relationships with your team and helping them to set goals. Your coaching skills relate directly to how well you are able to foster a great working relationship with your employees through understanding them and strategic goal setting. You’ll also learn about Mentoring employees. Mentoring has a different purpose and goal. Mentoring is the act of guiding, counseling, and supporting. This program is designed to highlight both coaching and mentoring so that you can effectively support your employees and coworkers.
The study material for this certification is included at no extra cost. When you register, you’ll have immediate access to the online training. You can take the Certified Executive Coach and Mentor certification exam as soon as you’re ready.
As you go through the material, you’ll learn how to define coaching, mentoring, and the GROW model. You’ll identify and set appropriate goals using the SMART technique, then identify the steps necessary in defining the current state of your employee’s situation. You’ll also learn to define options for your employee and turn them into a preliminary plan.
You’ll help your employees overcome common obstacles to their growth and development. Identify when the need for coaching has come to an end and begin transitioning your employee to other growth opportunities. You’ll also identify the difference between mentoring and coaching, using both to enable long-term development through a positive relationship with your employee.
MSI also offers a Life Coach Certification if you enjoy helping individuals overcome obstacles and achieve personal goals.
