Complete your Lean Six Sigma Training Online through the Management and Strategy Institute and receive your certification. This program, entitled Six Sigma Lean Professional (SSLP)™, is designed to give the student a solid understanding of both Lean and Six Sigma principles and will teach you how to effectively work with Lean principles. These methods work well in a manufacturing environment and are also popular in industries like healthcare, logistics, and government.
Lean is generally referred to as a manufacturing or production improvement methodology. As a term in business, it has a broad-based customer focus that concentrates on providing more to the customer.
It does this by supplying the product that is just what the customer needs – when needed – in just the right amounts and for the right price. It uses the minimum materials, equipment, workspace, labor resources, and time needed. The whole concept of Lean is focused on the removal of any unnecessary waste from the production process. It focuses on producing a high quality output.
Projects working in a lean manufacturing environment don’t generally have a “belt” assigned to their certification, which is why this certification only includes Lean and Six Sigma in the title. If you are looking for a specific belt level, we recommend our Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Six Sigma Lean Professionals must function at a high level within an organization. It is important for Lean Professionals to have a solid understanding of the related principles so that they can properly analyze waste components and create a value stream. This test is open book, however it is also timed, so you will not have much time to look up answers to questions. It is very important that you study and understand the material prior to taking the test or you will not pass.
We offer a free Lean Six Sigma practice test here if you’d like to try it. No log-in required.
