The Six Sigma Lean Green Belt in Healthcare (LGBH)™ certification program has been developed exclusively for the Management and Strategy Institute. It is designed to give the student a solid understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles mixed with the needed understanding to perform as a Green Belt within the healthcare industry.
The healthcare industry has a unique set of challenges and regulatory considerations. When implemented properly, Six Sigma can help a healthcare organization deliver better care to more people at a lower cost. Lean and Six Sigma principles are used throughout the complex healthcare system to lower costs and improve service provided to patients. Jobs like Quality Assurance Coordinators and Quality Management Directors work to ensure processes are managed properly and that patients are receiving the best care possible while still controlling costs.
Lean Green Belts work with Black Belts and project champions to analyze and reduce process waste. They work to eliminate non-value-added activities and increase patient satisfaction by reducing errors. These processes are implemented on both the clinic and business side of healthcare, ensuring every process is looked at in detail.
Why should you take a Green Belt program specific to healthcare? If you work in healthcare, you’re already aware of the unique conditions that come with the healthcare industry. Regulations like HIPAA and dealing with health insurance companies for payment represent just a few of these challenges. This program helps you work with fellow Six Sigma practitioners in these unique conditions, improving the processes of a healthcare organization.
We also offer our Six Sigma Lean Black Belt in Healthcare certification for those who want to lead a Six Sigma Team within the Healthcare industry.
